Our Vision & Story
True luxury is found in the roots. At PATTU KADHAI, our story is woven from the diverse silk traditions of South India, but we don’t just preserve heritage, we propel it forward.
Luxury today isn’t defined by excess; it is defined by intention.
Every weave, motif, and silhouette is thoughtfully crafted through mindful collaboration with master weavers, artisans, and designers.
By blending architectural forms with centuries-old handloom traditions, we are building a new design language for silk, one that honors ancestry while embracing contemporary elegance. PATTU KADHAI is our love letter to South India: its colours, its rituals, its textiles, its poetry. From the loom to the runway, from Kanchipuram to the world, our journey is rooted in carrying the soul of our culture through pieces that speak with quiet power.
Our vision is to create a global platform where heritage is not merely preserved, but desired, collected, and worn; proof that tradition can be bold, modern, and iconic. We aim to bridge the gap between ancestral craftsmanship and international fashion, taking the heart of South Indian handlooms to a discerning global audience.
"What I love about PATTU KADHAI is how they’ve reworked ancestral craft into contemporary icons. The Kanchi Varnam Edit is the ultimate proof: striking colours, master weaving, and silhouettes that feel completely fresh."

I’ve always believed that true luxury needs a soul. For me, that soul was found in the rustle of my grandmother’s silk saree, a fabric that carried so much history and strength in every thread.
I founded PATTU KADHAI because I wanted to see that ancestral artistry move beyond the cedar chests of our homes and onto the global stage. I wanted to take the master craftsmanship I witnessed in the looms of Kanchipuram and give it a modern, architectural destination.
To me, PATTU KADHAI is about the woman who honours where she comes from but isn't afraid of where she’s going. We take the "living prayer" of the weaver and transform it into high-fashion couture proving that heritage doesn't have to be static. It can be bold, it can be modern, and it can be iconic.
This is my tribute to our past, and my vision for our future.
